Health and Safety Notice

Last updated: 28 August 2026

1. Not medical advice

Borafit instructs physical training. Training carries risks — including muscle and joint injury, falls, and in rare cases serious medical events. This notice forms part of our terms of use.

Borafit is not a medical device and does not replace medical, physiotherapeutic, or other expert advice, examination, or treatment. Your training plan is generated automatically from your own statements about level, goals, and body focus. We do not know your state of health; the plan is therefore not a medical assessment tailored to you.

2. Get medical clearance before you start

Seek medical advice before taking up training, in particular if any of the following applies to you:

  • Cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, or another chronic condition.
  • Chest pain, palpitations, fainting, or dizziness — at rest or under exertion.
  • A current or incompletely healed injury, joint or back problems, surgery in recent months, or ongoing rehabilitation.
  • Pregnancy, possible pregnancy, or recent childbirth.
  • Medication affecting heart rate, blood pressure, balance, or alertness.
  • A long period of physical inactivity, or uncertainty whether training is suitable for you.

You should not use our training plans during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

3. Stop training immediately

Stop the exercise at once and seek medical help in the event of:

  • pain in the chest, jaw, neck, or arm
  • shortness of breath beyond normal exertion
  • dizziness, light-headedness, visual disturbance, or feeling faint
  • irregular or racing heartbeat
  • nausea, cold sweat, or sudden weakness
  • sharp or sudden pain in a joint, muscle, or the back

In an emergency call 112 (within the EU) or your local emergency number.

4. Train safely

Perform only exercises you can carry out safely; you can skip or replace any exercise you are unsure about in the app. Pain is not a training goal — stop the exercise if you feel pain. Ensure a safe training environment and check equipment and aids for damage before each use. We are not responsible for third-party training equipment, third-party premises, or their condition.

5. Age of majority

Use requires you to be of full legal age.

6. Your responsibility and our liability

Use of Borafit is at your own risk. You decide on your own responsibility whether, when, and to what extent you train, and you judge for yourself whether an exercise is suitable for you.

You are obliged to observe sections 2 to 4 above, to follow the movement execution as instructed, and to stop an exercise as soon as any of the signs listed in section 3 occurs. If you train contrary to this notice, that is taken into account as contributory negligence.

This notice defines the scope of our duties of care. Our statutory liability remains unaffected; in particular, our liability for damage arising from injury to life, body, or health is not limited. Details are set out in section 11 of our terms of use.
