Community Guidelines
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. Scope
These guidelines form part of our terms of use; the content you provide is additionally governed by our Content Guidelines.
Borafit has no comment, messaging, or rating feature. Your profile, your training plans, and your training venues are visible to you alone; other members see none of it. The only things visible publicly are the profiles of our performers and their published videos. Section 2 therefore applies to everyone; sections 3 and 4 are addressed to performers.
Borafit provides the platform and stores the content members publish on it; the recordings themselves do not come from us. Exercise videos pass through editorial approval before publication. That approval concerns only their suitability for our catalogue; it is not a legal review — in particular we check neither the rights in a recording, nor the consent of people depicted, nor the accuracy of your statements — and it does not relieve you of responsibility for your content.
You alone are responsible for your content — for your videos, for what you state in your profile, and for the destinations you link to. This applies regardless of any editorial approval. Complying with these guidelines is your obligation; who answers for an infringement is governed by section 7 of our terms of use and our content policy.
2. Ground rules
- Stay respectful. No insults, no belittling, no public shaming of other people.
- No discrimination, no hate, no violence. No demeaning people on the basis of origin, skin colour, religion, belief, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation; no incitement to violence, no glorification of violence, no extremist propaganda.
- Be yourself. Do not impersonate another real person, a company, or Borafit staff.
- No spam. No unsolicited advertising, no redirecting to fraudulent offers.
- Respect others' privacy. Do not publish other people's personal data without their consent.
- No harmful health advice. No medical advice and no instructions towards extreme calorie restriction, excessive training, doping, eating disorders, or self-harm. Please also see our Health and Safety Notice.
3. Your public profile
As a performer you shape your name, your username, your profile description, linked addresses, country flags, and your profile and banner images.
- Name and username. Use your real name or a stage name you use consistently. Do not present yourself as another real person, a company, or a gym.
- Professional titles and qualifications. Do not use a protected professional title you do not hold — such as "doctor", "physiotherapist", "dietitian", or "alternative practitioner". For any qualification you rely on, name the issuing body and the year, or leave the claim out.
- Profile and banner image. The image shows you or your training environment. Do not use footage you hold no rights in, third-party brands or logos, or depictions of other people without their consent. Training clothing goes without saying; images whose subject is the body rather than the training are not permitted. Leave out overlaid prices, discount codes, phone numbers, and QR codes.
- Profile description. The description says who you are, how you train, and what you are qualified in. It is not advertising space: no price lists, no offers, no discount codes, and no invitation to continue the conversation outside Borafit. Contact routes belong in your linked addresses, not in the running text.
- Health-related claims. Do not promise a cure, relief, or treatment success — not even by implication. No weight promises with a figure or a timeframe, no recommendation of doping agents, and no supplement presented as a substitute for medical advice.
- Linked addresses. Link only to destinations that belong to you or that you are authorised to represent. The destination is subject to the same rules as your profile. Where a link is paid for or earns you a commission, you must make its commercial purpose clearly recognisable — for example by adding “Ad” to the link's name.
4. Your videos
We publish your videos once we have reviewed them, and you can unpublish any of them at any time. For the recording itself:
- Other people in shot. Film so that uninvolved people are not identifiable, or obtain their consent. In gyms open to the public this is the most common failure.
- Permission at the location. Establish before recording whether filming is allowed there. Many gyms prohibit recording in their house rules; obtaining permission is your responsibility.
- Music and third-party content. Make sure no background music and no third-party brands or logos appear in the picture or the sound where you hold no rights to them.
- Rights in the recording. You need all rights in the video you publish here. If they are not entirely yours, obtain them in writing before you upload.
- Safe execution. Show the exercise in a form you have safely mastered and that is fit to be copied. No risky progressions for effect, no visibly unsafe set-up.
- Clothing and imagery. The same standards apply as for your profile image.
5. Age of majority
Using Borafit requires you to be of full legal age. We suspend and delete accounts held by minors as soon as we become aware of them.
6. What happens on a breach
Editorial approval is not ongoing supervision: we do not generally monitor published content and are not obliged to do so. When a breach comes to our attention, we choose the measure that is necessary to remedy it and least burdensome for the person affected — from a warning, through removing or blocking the content and restricting its visibility, to suspending or terminating the account. Where we take down your published content, we inform you with reasons and point out how you can object. A decision on an upload that was never published is final; your right to bring the matter before the courts is unaffected. Report breaches of these guidelines and illegal content through our reporting procedure.
